Ballet -
Like other dance forms, ballet may tell a story, express
a mood, or simply reflect the music.
But a ballet dancer's
technique (way of performing) and special skills is what
differentiates him or her
from other dancers. Ballet students
will understand how to take a ballet class and learn about
their bodies as
they relate movement to the technique of
ballet. A one hour and half intensive class. |

Tap -
Considered by legendary tap dance master Steve Condos to
be “the tempo of America," tap has come a
long way from its humble origins and is more popular
than ever. This class maintains a fun and lively approach
to tap as an art form. Students will learn the necessary
tools of rhythm, coordination,
foot articulation, and
weight changes in order to build confidence in entering
basic level tap classes. A one hour intensive class.
This class is great for our young men.

Lyrical
Dance. In this class, students experiment with a
more natural, flowing movement, in contrast to the
stricter conventions of traditional ballet. They work
with a combination of different styles that focus on
alignment, balance and flexibility. This style of dance
is constantly open to change and results in more of the
student's unique personality coming through on the dance
floor. A one hour intensive class.

Combination Classes(i.e. Tap/Jazz; Ballet/Lyrical)
are more general in approach than the more intense
classes in each dance style. The intense classes are
designed for the more mature student who wishes to excel
in a particular dance style. A dance audition will be
conducted by the instructor and recommendation made as
to the proper class placement for each student.
