Music Instructor
Mrs. Redcross, a native of Bowling Green, Virginia graduated
from Howard University where she
received her Bachelor
of Music Education degree.
Mrs. Redcross continued her
graduate studies at Teacher's College, Columbia University.
She taught in the Washington, D.C. public school system
for five years before joining the Newport News school
system where she has taught music for 27 years and is
currently the choral teacher at Hines Middle School. |

Mrs.
Redcross has served as a guest conductor in the Hampton,
Matthews County and Chesapeake school systems. She is also
conductor of youth choirs at St. Augustine's Episcopal
Church and Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church in Newport
News. Mrs. Redcross is a member of the Music Educator's
National
Conference, Virginia Music Educators Association, and Delta
Kappa Gamma, a women educator's honor society.
